At White Star Medical we believe training should be dynamic, informative, practical and lots of fun!
All our trainers are experienced medics and have a full range of knowledge covering both the theoretical and the more practical aspects of emergency pre hospital care. First aid is more than just knowing what to do in a crisis, it is about having the confidence to act, the support to advance and the ability to save lives.
To achieve this, in addition to our own internal high standards, we are also accredited by AoFAQ (Association of First Aid Qualifications). Our courses are regulated by Ofqual and many are included in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) or the new Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) .
Additionally we work to Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines where appropriate, teaching good clinical practice to give your patients their best possible outcome. Our courses are kept up-to-date by taking into account recent suggestions by both the UK and European resuscitation councils.
White Star Medical First aid at work courses aim to fulfil HSE guidelines and employers needs as defined in the Health and Safety at Work Act, which includes the Amendment to Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 (2013).
For those that would like to keep their skills practiced and up-to-date, we also offer an informal drop-in once a month. Here you can ask questions or get support, and we will always have an Annie on hand to help out!
White Star Medical has access to the latest equipment including the QCPR Resusci Anne allowing trainers to give the best feedback possible.
We understand that courses offered under the QCF don’t always meet the needs of more social learners. With this in mind we offer a number of custom courses designed to meet a range of needs. But don’t worry if you don’t find a course that is right for you, we can offer tailored courses for your specific needs. Just fill out our enquiry form below.
